Friends of Friends in the News - Q. Allan Brocka, of certain (and well deserved) Lego fame, is going places. Fox Searchlight has selected Brocka as one of the candidates for their Searchlab project. I give this four thumbs up!
Being as I am currently unemployed, I spend most of my time sifting through online monster boards. Yesterday, I found this crappy site, and was amazed at the seemingly vast number of fresh postings. There were about 700 for Metro Atlanta in the last three days. So this morning, I pointed my browser there and waited for today's postings to appear. What I saw instead were yesterday's postings from many companies re-posted with today's date. I watched as one company sat and re-posted all 86 of their recent postings, one-by-one, and throughout the day watched as other companies kept reposting their MLM/Telecommuting dreck to keep it on top. Unlike monster.com, which has a useful sort-by-date feature, hotjobs.com only has yesterday's crap warmed over. (and over, and over...)

Sunday, I'll get an AJC and go job-hunting the old-economy way. And maybe get good comics to boot.
I am KoalaBear. This is my blog.
